Introduction to Medicare

Hi, I’m Tom, Co-founder of CoverRight.com and a licensed Medicare insurance agent. In this videos series, we’re going to cover:

  • What is Original Medicare Parts A and B;
  • When to enroll in Medicare and how to sign up for it; and
  • Key considerations when deciding between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement

First of all — let’s go through the basics of Medicare.

Medicare is a health insurance program provided by the federal government for:

  • People who are 65 or older; and
  • Certain people under 65 with disabilities

The default government program is called Original Medicare and is made up of two parts, Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B.
