Because Medicare Parts A and B do not cover all of your healthcare costs, people who are eligible for Medicare will often consider enrolling in some form of private coverage, which helps to either better manage healthcare costs or cover the gaps that Original Medicare Part A and B doesn’t cover.
The three key types of private coverage include: Medicare Advantage plans (also known as Medicare Part C); Medicare Supplement plans (also known as Medigap plans); and Prescription Drug Plans (also known as Part D coverage).
